Today is the Solemnity of Mary's Assumption into Heaven. On this day, we commemorate how, at the moment of her death, Mary was assumed into heaven, body and soul. At the heart of today's feast is the centrality and importance of our human bodies in salvation history and how one day we, like Mary, will join in the great wedding feast of heaven in body as well as in soul.
